Our local project manager oversees production, ensuring quality and helping the group in their continued development.

The products they make generate vital income for their families, allowing them to send their children and siblings to school rather then keeping them at home to work in the fields. The group also has the opportunity to learn English at the vocational training centre and be involved in savings schemes and other group activities.

FunkyJunk is a long-term initiative that will expand beyond the initial centre once it has reached capacity. There are many potential locations in Cambodia and further afield: discarded plastic bags in developing countries are practically limitless, as are the number of people who could benefit from skills training and income, and the number of communities who would like a cleaner living environment.
